Health sciences professions are health care careers that are distinct from nursing, medicine, and pharmacy. They are the professionals who make the health care system function at multiple levels.

If you are interested in helping others stay healthy, care about how patients are treated, want to help improve patient health outcomes, or know in your heart that your skills can help make the healthcare field a better place, but don't necessarily want to work in a hospital operating room, then you are in the right place.

UL Lafayette's Department of Health Sciences offers a Bachelor of Science degree in health information management (HIM), and an online-only degree in health services administration (HSA). We also offer an extremely competitive two-year pre-dental hygiene program that prepares you for transfer to dental hygiene programs around the country.

Through a combination of coursework and hand-on experience, we prepare you to take your education into the real world and start helping others.
