Academic Programs
In the Department of Health Sciences, we offer undergraduate degree programs in health information management and health services administration, along with a two-year transfer program in pre-dental hygiene. We also offer a six-month Graduate Certificate in Population Health online for working healthcare professionals.
What sets our programs apart from others is our interdisciplinary faculty approach. We have distinguished faculty members from health services administration and health information management, who teach within our programs.
Employment in the health information management and health services administration field is projected to grow 13 percent for HIM and 23 percent for HSA. As the population ages and people remain active later in life, there will be a large demand for healthcare professionals. We also recognize the need for providing high-quality care for all individuals, and we are working to train healthcare professionals in identifying and improving equality in the healthcare system.
There are many career opportunities in these areas and our graduates are well-prepared to enter the professional world.
